Services available to residents include Chiropody, Reflexology and Physiotherapy. We also provide a Sonas workshop which is dedicated to Dementia and Alzheimer's residents. This is carried out by a trained member of staff. The Physiotherapist provides therapy twice weekly, providing individual as well as group sessions. Occupational Therapy sessions are carried out four afternoons a week. We also have an in-house hair salon and stylist for which there are no extra charge. For residents who enjoy a cigarette a designated smoking area is located within the Nursing Home.
The Little Flower Nursing Home prides itself on the high level of care given to all its residents. All residents, long or short stay are carefully assessed on arrival. A detailed care plan is devised to suit the residents individual needs and careful records are kept to ensure the resident receives all the care needed as set out in their personal care plan.
All residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible and are afforded the utmost respect from all staff members.The Little Flower Nursing Home provides all medical equipment that may be required by its residents including, where necessary, electric hi-Io beds, pressure relieving mattresses, pressure relieving seat cushions, reclining armchairs etc.
Our Nursing staff work in conjunction with the Hospitals and all local G.P.s in order to provide the highest standard of Nursing and medical care.
The local parish priest celebrates mass in the home every week and administers Holy Communion every Sunday. A privately set Oratory is available to all residents who would like some quiet time for prayer and contemplation. The home is also located close to the village church, shops, pub and bus stop, while visiting hours are only restricted at mealtimes for the comfort of the residents.
